From the depths of Montreal's underground scene to the heights of international recognition, Stephane Bergeron has been crafting sonic journeys that transcend the boundaries of electronic music. With over a decade of experience in the industry, Stephane has evolved from a bedroom producer to a respected figure in the global electronic music community.
Influences
My musical journey began with the raw energy of early Detroit techno pioneers like Jeff Mills and Derrick May. I was also deeply influenced by the melodic progressive house of Sasha and John Digweed, as well as the atmospheric soundscapes of Brian Eno and Tangerine Dream. More recently, I've been inspired by the modern techno movement led by artists like Charlotte de Witte and Amelie Lens.
Equipment
My studio setup revolves around a hybrid approach combining analog warmth with digital precision. I use a Roland TR-8S for drums, a Moog Sub 37 for basslines, and a Prophet Rev2 for pads and leads. For software, I rely heavily on Ableton Live 11, with plugins from Native Instruments, Arturia, and U-he. My monitoring setup includes Focal Trio6 Be speakers and a Universal Audio Apollo interface.
