What the documents say, official links, and how our frequencies map to the research.
Declassified research (including the CIA Gateway report and related work) describes a method in which each ear receives a different audio frequency. The difference between the two tones is in the low range (roughly 3–7 Hz in the theta band). The brain does not hear two separate tones; it perceives a third, “phantom” rhythm—the binaural beat—equal to that difference. When this beat falls in the theta range, both hemispheres tend to synchronize. That state is what the documents refer to for focus, meditation, and altered states of consciousness.
No drugs, no mysticism required: it’s physics and physiology. One tone in the left ear, a slightly higher tone in the right ear; the brain follows the difference. We implement exactly that.

French-language summaries: search for “rapport Gateway CIA” or “processus Gateway”. Our tool uses the same binaural principle regardless of language.
Below are techniques and concepts extracted from the declassified Gateway/Hemi-Sync documents, in a logical order from foundation to advanced.
Our Hemi-Sync experience implements the binaural principle and frequency bands (delta, theta, alpha, beta, gamma) so you can explore sleep, meditation, focus, and peak cognition with the same underlying mechanism.
The documents often focus on the theta range (about 3.5–7 Hz). Here is how that maps to presets on the Hemi-Sync experience page:
| Document / band | Our preset | Hz |
|---|---|---|
| Gateway / low theta | 3.5 Hz Gateway low | 3.5 |
| Core Hemi-Sync (document range) | 5 Hz Hemi-Sync | 5 |
| Creativity / memory | 6 Hz Creativity | 6 |
| Subconscious / high theta | 7 Hz Subconscious | 7 |
We also offer presets below and above that band (delta 0.5–4 Hz, alpha 8–12 Hz, beta 14–30 Hz, gamma 40 Hz) so you can explore sleep, calm focus, concentration, and peak cognition with the same binaural principle.
